A character starts with a readable silhouette and a few purposeful decisions. This study explores expressive shape language, gestures and the small details that give a drawn figure its own presence.

Making the gesture count

Poses establish intent before movement is added. We look at where a character holds weight, how its shapes relate and which moments need to be held long enough to read.
